Amal

is one of my beautiful, intelligent, & elegant friends. I became like many others super fan of Amal when I went to visit Africans at the Western Washington University. Our housing situation in Bellingham grew super African on us and I got nervous and was ready to head back to Seattle; then one of my friend suggested I stay with Amal since I already knew her amazing sisters well (za Bulale Angels). I was delivered to Amal’s small dorm where she provided the ultimate African hospitality. I felt as if I was a royalty, I had an awesome brunch at the cafeteria and a wonderful dinner at the restaurant with a view. I was not sure if this was a university campus. When I was ready to head back to Seattle she of course handed me a cute shoes to go back with. I never forgot that and I always wanted to keep hospitality since it is the best part of our culture. Every since then Amal has been nothing but a class act, a planner extraordinaire who keeps us all in check with her elegance. I was inspired by her every since and she just gets better every year.
I’ve been picky with friendship but it was all worth it. I have been blessed with the loveliest of all friends who have been encouraging, loyal, and down to earth with major class.
